New Blog, Who Dis?

“Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start….”

So it was 1984, a super hot night in August….

Just kidding. Get prepared for a lot of lame Mom jokes!

The clever soul writing this (who finds myself way funnier than I actually am) is Jacqueline Khalil, boy mama and wife to Hussein (as in Barack Hussein Obama, not Sadaam). Yes, I went there, so if you don’t have a sense of humor or are prejudice/ignorant – please keep scrolling! I am a blogger, family photographer and owner of Jacqueline Paige Photography,  and my newest role is as the founder and pageant director for the Miss Border City Windsor Pageant, which you can read more about on this website! My husband owns an insurance agency and we reside in the border city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, where you can see the Detroit skyline from a distance. I’ll keep the mushy stuff out until a wedding anniversary post but honestly our story is simple –  just two kids who couldn’t help but fall in love at first sight. We had a ton of hurdles to overcome (see my blog for the juicy details!) but 7 years later – here we are and it was all worth it!

We have two sons, Noah (09/22/2016) and Gabriel (04/21/2018), who have completely transformed my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. They are the best things that ever could have happened to us and I will be talking a lot about them, my marriage, our experiences and lives on here!

So why create this website, you my ask? As I mentioned above, motherhood has steered my life into a completely different direction and changed who I am. I’ve learned SO much through the process, and believe I have a lot to contribute and share with others! From life hacks and creative projects to self help and personal growth,  my experiences (both good and bad) and little secrets to success (how I get my kids to smile in every single picture!) are things that I want to share with the world. If I can help even one person by making life a little bit easier,  feeling like you’re not alone or just laugh and say in your head “I feel ya, girl!” then I’ll have done what I set out to do!

So join us on the crazy train! Sit back, relax, and enjoy this raw/honest/beautiful/chaoticdisplay of our lives!

XO,

JP ❤
